Dr. Lane is experienced in providing outpatient psychotherapeutic services (individual and family therapy) for children ranging in age from preschool through adolescence. He has also successfully treated a large number of young adults (18 to 25 years of age). Disorders and issues that Dr. Lane often treats include the following:
Dr. Lane provides comprehensive psychological testing for children and adolescents. The results and recommendations of these evaluations may be used to garner special education services, provide diagnostic clarification and psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational recommendations. Typical evaluations include measures of intellectual and adaptive functioning, academic achievement, executive functioning, personality, as well as overall social and emotional functioning. If needed Dr. Lane may also utilize measures to determine a child's level of traumatization, as well as receptive and expressive language. Psychological evaluations are a set fee that covers clinical interviews, review of records, test administration, test scoring and interpretation, as well as report writing and review/feedback session.
Dr. Lane frequently conducts psychosexual evaluations for children and adolescents with a history of sexual offending behavior, suspected paraphilia(s), child maltreatment or sexual boundary violating behaviors. The purpose of these evaluations is to determine the following:
Typically, psychosexual evaluations consist of three or four clinical interviews with the child/adolescent and their parents/guardians. Psychological measures may be utilized as needed. A feedback appointment is also conducted with involved parties.
